When founding Keen Wealth Advisors, Bill Keen's desire was to build one of the country's most personal and trusted wealth and retirement advisory firms. Bill understands the importance of putting his clients’ needs first. His extensive experience — throughout major shifts in the markets — enables Bill to help his clients structure balanced portfolios to address their specific financial and retirement goals. Bill brings over 25 years of industry experience to the table and is the Founder and CEO of Keen Wealth Advisors. He also holds the CHARTERED RETIREMENT PLANNING COUNSELOR℠ designation. The CRPC® designation may only be used by professionals that have passed a rigorous examination by the College for Financial Planning as well as other requirements set by the College. Bill obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Central Missouri and has lectured on investing at the University of Missouri Bloch School of business graduate program as well as for many major corporations in the Kansas City Area.
Bill’s interest in finances began at an early age. "I was exposed to financial hardship as a kid and by age 10 knew that I would have to learn to understand saving and investing to be able to eventually assist my family.” Even at Park Hill High School, Bill would regularly be found on the pay phone between classes checking his stock positions. "In 1985 I was working as a health club attendant when I met a senior executive at a major airline who introduced me to the markets and helped me open my first investment account. Back in those days we would sometimes go to our broker’s office and sit and watch the ticker tape and then place our orders right there on the spot. Albeit early, I began to see that if I could pursue that knowledge I could impart this knowledge on others - especially those that were like my family growing up."
Bill co-hosts "Keen On Retirement" - a podcast designed to provide Keen Wealth Advisors' friends and clients with an additional tool to stay informed and educated on key issues related to retirement planning and investing.
